- Sparknotes - Free guide books for hundreds of required books in college (and high school) classes.
- TimeTicker - Find out the time in any time zone with this interactive site.
- The National Arbor Day Foundation - They help people plant and care for trees. Help the environment! Plant a tree! =)
- Project Vote Smart - "A Voter's Self Defense System" Find out about everything Political: Candidates, Issues, etc.
- LetsSingIt.com - If you've ever listened to a song and couldn't understand the lyrics (who hasn't?) this site is for you. Search through their archives of lyrics to figure what that artist said.
- yourDictionary.com - The Global Language Resource. Find the meaning of a word, or a synonym or antonym. Also has other language dictionaries in over 260 languages!
- Alta Vista Translate - Translate text or a webpage from English to many languages and vise-versa.
- The Great Buildings Collection - Find pictures of buildings with this site. I used this site while I was in Architecture school.
- About.com - A search engine to learn about stuff.
- Snow-Forecast.com - Find out weather forecasts for ski resorts, or just some city, and find out where it's snowing right now in the world.
- Intel's Philanthropic Peer-to-Peer Program - Download a program that will help find a cure for cancer, diabetes, and other diseases while your computer is idle.
- Urban Legends Reference Pages - Find out if that chain letter telling you you'll be getting money from Bill Gates is really true. Also check out other, non-Internet related, Urban Legends.
- Urban Legends and Folklore - Another place to see if that e-mail is a hoax or not.
