Website Help
Below you'll find everything you could possibly need to build your website for free. From help, to free add-ons, to other things. And it's all free!
Help
- Writing HTML - This is where I have learned most of the HTML I know now. They let you either take the lessons online, or you can save them for offline viewing (like I did). They are really good, and you learn alot - plus you make a fairly nice site (it's about volcanoes, but at least the site looks good). I would definately recommend them.
- AAA HTML - "An HTML guide for beginners and pros."
- HTML Goodies - Here you can find tutorials on making websites. It's a good site.
- Tech TV's Call For Help - The TV show where you can call in for help with your computer.
- Webmonkey - "The web developer's resource." Lot's of stuff to help you build your web page. Their color code page is really handy - I use it all of the time.
- Dougie's Color Picker - This site allows you to test out color schemes (background color, text color, links, etc.) It also provides color codes. I also use this a lot.
Images
- Free Buttons.com - Just like the name says, free buttons.
- FlamingText.com - Create custom images with the fonts they provide, all for free, right from the website!
- Animation Factory - Free animated GIF's and 3-D clipart. This is where I got the saxophone in my Music section and the rain in the Nature section.
- Favicon - Make your own icon for you site that displays next to the URL in your browser, and also in the favorites pulldown menu. I attempted to make one for this site, but it hasn't worked for some reason. Oh well.
- Iconlog's Icons - Tons and tons of standard 32x32 icons.
